We see you … You’re an innovative social entrepreneur with a big idea. It’s not a pie in the sky dream for you. It’s your calling. Your meaningful business isn’t just a way for you to make money—it fuels your passion to make a difference. Yet, you’re stuck! WHY isn’t your business growing? If you’re like many conscious entrepreneurs, you may be running in too many directions and not focusing on fundamental steps that are key for growing a business.

Be strategic about what you tackle during the early stages of your meaningful business

Successful entrepreneur Richard Branson often speaks about his lifelong love of learning. That’s a healthy mindset for social entrepreneurs like you because you need to learn a lot if you want to run a successful business.

However, that passion for learning can have a downside. What happens with many fledgling entrepreneurs is they get bogged down trying to learn—and DO—too much early on. This tends to leave passionate, social entrepreneurs feeling overwhelmed and with too much on their plates, when they should be focusing on building a solid foundation for their meaningful business.

When I was a budding entrepreneur, I was desperate to make a go of things and replace the income I lost from my job in corporate America. I was throwing everything at the wall to see what would stick and had no idea what I should focus on first.

It took me awhile, but eventually, I realized I needed to take a breath, stop flailing around and focus on what matters. “What matters” are the three critical elements you need to master in order to build a solid business foundation, which is key if you want to get UNSTUCK and accelerate business growth.

We show you how to master these elements in our FREE Business Foundation course, but here’s a snapshot of what you need to focus on to set your conscious business up for success:

  1. Fit. Does your meaningful business suit your strengths, passions and gifts, while also providing value to the target market you want to serve? You’ll continue to flounder if it doesn’t.
  2. Differentiation.Do prospects think you’re selling the exact same product or solution as the guy up the street, even though you’re not? You need to home in on what you offer and why that matters to your target market, then share that story.
  3. Demand. Are you generating demand for your product or service and doing so in an AUTHENTIC way? You’re a social entrepreneur who wants to make a difference, right? Then focus on serving your target market instead of selling. (Our Authentic Demand Generation course shows you how.)

For me, once I started focusing my energy on only doing work that I was passionate about, I was able to pinpoint what made me different and was excited to share that with the world. When I shifted from the hard (and desperate) sell to running my business in an authentic way (offering value without expecting anything in return), it was truly a watershed moment. I started attracting clients whose moral compasses were in line with mine (that law of attraction thing really works), and even better, my network was sending referrals my way.

But wait, there’s MORE!

By mastering fit, differentiation and demand, you should be able to replace your corporate America job income pretty quickly—but what if your goal is to grow big? Like $1 million or more big? That’s when you need to tap into your love for learning and take additional strategic steps to increase your income, and if you desire, become financially free.
